Preliminary work

Preliminary work - front door speakers

=> Removing and installing door trim panel - removing

Removing front loudspeakers (door)

Removing bass speaker

CAUTION

Voltage peaks can damage the audio system.

-> Before unplugging/removing audio components, remove ignition key and switch off audio system.

1. Release electrical connector -a- and unplug it.





Bass speaker

2. Unscrew the four fastening nuts -1- and remove the speaker.

Removing mid-tone speaker

CAUTION

Voltage peaks can damage the audio system.

-> Before unplugging/removing audio components, remove ignition key and switch off audio system.

1. Release electrical connector and unplug it.





Mid-tone speaker

2. Unscrew the two fastening nuts -2- and remove the speaker.

Installing front loudspeakers (door)

Installing bass speaker

1. Position the speaker on the door unit carrier and screw it down with the four fastening screws -1-. => M6x30: 2.0 ftlb.+/-0.5 ftlb.





Bass speaker

2. Push in electrical connector for the speaker until it is felt to engage.

Installing mid-tone speaker

1. Position the speaker on the door trim panel and screw it down with the two fastening screws -2-. => 5x12: 1.5 ftlb.+0.5 ftlb.





Screwing down loudspeaker

2. Push in electrical connector for the speaker until it is felt to engage.
