Removing hardtop





1. Pulling off cover for locking lever
1.1. Pull cover -1- of the front locking lever down and off.

2. Open the locking lever.
2.1. Press red knob -A- on the front locking lever -2- and open the catch fully -3-.

3. Open locking lever at the rear.
3.1. Swivel the locking lever -4- forward until the pivot locks lift.

4. Disconnect the electrical plug connection of the rear window heater.
4.1. Disconnect the electric plug connection -5- of the rear window heater, push on the plastic cover of the rear window heater plug connection.

5. Remove the hardtop.
5.1. Carefully lift the hardtop at the rear window and lift off to the rear.

6. Press in plastic cover.
6.1. Press plastic cover -6- into the pivot-pin locks.

Installing hardtop





Information

Before installing the hardtop for the first time, check that the pivot-pin locks are installed and install them if necessary. -> 611719 Removing and installing hardtop mounts 611719 Removing and installing hardtop fastenings

Also check the gap dimensions and adjust the hardtop as required. -> 610215 Adjusting hardtop - section on "Adjusting" Adjustments

1. Open the locking lever.
1.1. The locking lever -2- must be opened fully.

2. Remove plastic cover.
2.1. Lift the plastic cover -6- in the pivot-pin locks out carefully (keep plastic cover).

3. Fit the hardtop.
3.1. Carefully lift the hardtop over the vehicle from behind and insert it forward into the mounts -7- on the windscreen frame.

4. Close the locking levers at the rear.
4.1. Pivot locks must be recessed fully in the pivot-pin locks; swivel both locking levers -4- back until they can be felt to engage.

5. Close the locking lever at the front.
5.1. Swivel the locking lever -2- for the front lock to the rear. When doing so, the locking hook -3- must engage in the windscreen frame. The white marking line on the red locking button must become visible when the hardtop is locked properly.

6. Push on the cover of the locking lever.
6.1. Push on the cover -1- of the front locking lever.

7. Connect the electric plug connection for the rear window heater.
7.1. Remove the plastic cover from the plug connection and connect the electric plug connection -5- for the rear window heater.

8. Testing the rear window heater.
8.1. Press symbol of the rocker switch. The indicator light lights up; pressing the indicator light again switches off the rear window heater.
The indicator light also comes on when the plug connection for the rear window heater is not plugged in.
