Preliminary work

DANGER

Vehicle can fall down

- Risk of squashing or crushing
- Risk of damage to the vehicle

-> Do not place any solid objects under the raised vehicle.
-> Ensure that the lifting platform is prevented from lowering.
-> Remove solid objects before lowering the vehicle.
-> Raise the vehicle only at the take-up points provided.
-> The outer take-up points should be used primarily.

1. Raise the vehicle.
-> 4X00IN01 Lifting the vehicle Service and Repair.

WARNING

Hot fluid

- Danger of scalding

-> Let the fluid cool down.
-> Wear personal protective gear.

2. Drain engine oil.
-> 170155 Changing engine oil and oil filter Removal and Replacement.
3. Remove rear underbody panelling.

Removing oil pressure control valve

1. Loosen the threaded joint -2- for the bottom coolant line -1-.





Coolant line

1.1. Unscrew two external Torx screws (E10, M6 x 12) -2-.
1.2. Pull coolant line downwards as far as the coolant hoses will allow.
2. Remove flange -3- for oil pressure control valve.
2.1. Release and pull off cable plug -2-.

2.2. Unscrew two external Torx screws (E10, M6 x 20) -1-.
2.3. Pull off flange.
2.4. Replace O-rings.
3. Remove oil pressure control valve.
3.1. Remove union nut (M36) using special tool socket wrench insert 9753.

3.2. Carefully pull out the oil pressure control valve using the special tool relay puller 9235.
Do not place tool onto connector.

Installing oil pressure control valve

1. Replace all O-rings and grease lightly with Kluber Syntheso Glep (Porsche part number 000.043.204.68).
2. Install oil pressure control valve.
2.1. Carefully insert the oil pressure control valve in the installation position using the special tool relay puller 9235.
Do not place tool onto connector.

2.2. Fit and tighten union nut (M36) using the special tool socket wrench insert 9753.
=> Tightening torque: 40 Nm (30 ftlb.)

3. Install flange -3- for oil pressure control valve.
3.1. Fit flange (only one screw position is possible).
3.2. Fit and tighten two external Torx screws (E10, M6 x 20) -1-.
=> Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
3.3. Connect cable plug -2-.
Cable plug must audibly click into place.
3.4. Pull to check that pipes and hoses are secure.

4. Fasten coolant line -1-.





Coolant line

4.1. Fasten coolant line using two external Torx screws (E10, M6 x 12) -2-.
=> Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

Subsequent work

CAUTION

Incorrect oil level

- Damage to engine and catalytic converter.

-> Always observe specification for oil fill quantities.

1. Fill in engine oil and check oil level.
-> 170155 Changing engine oil and oil filter Removal and Replacement.
-> 170101 Checking engine-oil level Procedures.
2. Start the engine and inspect flange of oil pressure control valve for leaks.
3. Install rear underbody panelling.
