Vehicle can fall down
- Risk of squashing or crushing
- Risk of damage to the vehicle
-> Do not place any solid objects under the raised vehicle.
-> Ensure that the lifting platform is prevented from lowering.
-> Remove solid objects before lowering the vehicle.
-> Raise the vehicle only at the take-up points provided.
-> The outer take-up points should be used primarily.
1. Remove rear wheel. Socket-wrench insert P300 should be used.

Hot components
- Risk of burns
-> Let hot components cool down.
-> Wear personal protective gear.
Information
Specifications for wrench sizes (a/f specifications) for screw heads are described as follows:
- Torx screws: (E.) for external Torx, (T.) for internal Torx.
- Hexagon-head bolts (internal and external hexagon): Wrench size (a/f)

Exhaust system
1. Unscrew three M8 hexagon nuts (a/f 13) -arrow- on the three-hole flange for the silencer you want to remove.
1.1. Replace hexagon nuts.
1.2. Replace seal on three-hole flange.

- Treat corroded components with anti-rust agent or heat.
2. Loosen screws on clamping sleeve -6- and tailpipe -7 or 8-.
2.1. Slide clamping sleeve and tailpipe to the side that will not be removed.

- The help of another person is required for removing and installing the silencer.
3. Remove rear silencer.
3.1. Open the holding clamp -2- by unscrewing a hexagon-head bolt (M8 x 40, a/f 13) -2a-.
3.2. Replace the holding clamp.
3.3. Unscrew two M8 hexagon-head bolts (a/f 13) -arrow- on the silencer holder. Counter at the hexagon nuts (a/f 13).

3.4. Remove rear silencer with the help of another person.
Removing complete exhaust system (both rear silencers)

1. Unscrew three M8 hexagon nuts (a/f 13) on the three-hole flange -arrow-.

Information
- The help of another person is required for removing and installing the silencer.
2. Remove exhaust system.
Unscrew two M8 hexagon-head bolts (a/f 13) -arrows- on the rear silencer holder at the left -A- and right -B-.
2.1. To do this, counter at the M8 hexagon nuts (a/f 13).
2.2. Remove exhaust system completely by moving it downwards with the help of another person.

Information
- The help of another person is required for removing and installing the silencer.
1. Position rear silencer on the triangular flange with the help of another person.
1.1. Insert new metal seal and fit three new M8 hexagon nuts.

2. Insert two M8 hexagon-head bolts (a/f 13) on the silencer holder and fit hexagon nuts (a/f 13).
2.1. Fit new holding clamp with a hexagon-head bolt (M8 x 40) and tighten bolt.

3. Move clamping sleeve and tailpipe into installation position and centre them.
3.1. Only tighten nuts slightly, so that the components can still be moved.
4. Tighten three new M8 hexagon nuts on the three-hole flange.=> Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)
5. Tighten two M8 hexagon-head bolts (a/f 13) on the silencer holder and counter at the hexagon nuts (a/f 13).
=> Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)
6. Tighten M8 hexagon-head bolt on the holding clamp.
=> Tightening torque: 15 Nm (11 ftlb.)
7. Tighten clamping sleeve.=> Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)
8. Align and tighten tailpipe.
=> Tightening torque: 55 Nm (41 ftlb.)
8.1. Adjust the tailpipe or tailpipe cover as required.

Installing complete exhaust system (both rear silencers)
Information
- The help of another person is required for removing and installing the silencer.
1. Position the exhaust system with the help of another person.
1.1. Fit new metal seals and new hexagon nuts on the triangular flanges.
2. Fit two M8 hexagon-head bolts (a/f 13) on the rear silencer holders at the left and right and tighten with hexagon nuts.

3. Tighten three new M8 hexagon nuts on the three-hole flange.=> Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)
4. Tighten two M8 hexagon-head bolts (a/f 13) on the silencer holder and counter at the hexagon nuts (a/f 13).
=> Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)
Subsequent work
1. Mount rear wheel.
