Removing expansion valve

1. Unscrew fastening nuts -1-.

2. Remove the bracket for the two refrigerant lines and pull the refrigerant lines out of the expansion valve.
3. Undo the two fastening screws on the expansion valve and remove expansion valve.

Installing expansion valve

Information

Before re-installing the component, check the O-rings of the refrigerant lines for damage and replaced them if necessary.

Wet the O-rings of the refrigerant lines with refrigerant oil.

Do not open the plugs for the lines and connections until shortly before installation.

Close off all lines and connections using suitable plugs during removal.

1. Carefully push expansion valve onto refrigerant lines from evaporator - do not tilt.
2. Insert and tighten the two fastening screws. => tightening torque: 9 Nm (ftlb.) (6.5)

3. Position refrigerant lines on expansion valve and press into place - do not tilt.
4. Position bracket for refrigerant lines and secure with the fastening nuts -1-. => tightening torque: 6 Nm (ftlb.) (4.5)
