Installation position of rear wheel housing liner

1. Release rear wheel housing liner.





Releasing rear wheel housing liner

1.1. Unscrew fastening screws -2- from the rear wheel housing liner -1-.
1.2. Unscrew fastening nut -3- from the stud.

Information

- For the right wheel housing liner at the rear, the bolting point for the fastening nut -3- is to the front.

2. Remove rear wheel housing liner.

2.1. Remove rear wheel housing liner -1- in -direction of arrow-.
3. Remove heat shield for rear wheel housing liner.

3.1. Unscrew fastening screws -2- from the rear wheel housing liner -1- and remove heat shield -3- ( -arrow- ).
3.2. Check fastening nuts -4- and replace if necessary.

Installation position of rear wheel housing liner

1. Install heat shield for rear wheel housing liner.





Installing heat shield for rear wheel housing liner

1.1. Position heat shield -3- at rear wheel housing liner -1- ( -arrow- ).
1.2. Tighten fastening screws -2-. => Tightening torque: 1.5 Nm (1.0 ftlb.)+/-0.5 Nm (+/-0.5 ftlb.)
2. Install rear wheel housing liner.

2.1. Position wheel housing liner -1- in -direction of arrow- and align it.
2.2. Screw fastening nut -3- onto stud and tighten slightly.

2.3. Screw in fastening screws -2- and tighten slightly.
2.4. Check that rear wheel housing liner -1- is positioned correctly in the transition area between the side wall and door seal.
2.5. Tighten fastening screws -2- and fastening nut -3-.=> Tightening torque: 1.5 Nm (1.0 ftlb.)+/-0.5 Nm (+/-0.5 ftlb.) => Tightening torque: 1.5 Nm (1.0 ftlb.)+/-0.5 Nm (+/-0.5 ftlb.)
