WARNING
Hot fluid
- Danger of scalding
-> Avoid contact with hot fluid.
-> Wear personal protective gear.
Information
When changing engine oil, drain the oil when it is hot because hot oil is more fluid than cold oil and all dirt particles and suspended matter can be cleaned out. Position the collecting container as close as possible to the drain outlet of the oil pan.
Information
- Engine oil should not be removed by suction as particles of dirt may remain in the oil pan.
1. Remove oil drain plug -Arrow- and collect the engine oil in a collecting container (allow to drain for approx. 5 minutes). Dispose of waste oil in accordance with legal requirements.

10. Clean dirty components with a cloth.
11. Check and fill in engine oil. The oil filling capacity after removing the oil filter is => Filling capacity: 0.9 litres.
Subsequent work
1. Fit underbody panelling.
Information
After changing the oil or checking the engine-oil level (e.g. during the sales check), the oil level must be topped up to the MAX marking when the oil is still warm.
2. Start the engine and check the oil level. See below.
Checking engine-oil level (markings on oil dipstick)
- The vehicle must stand horizontally.
- The engine must be switched off and at operating temperature.
- Before measuring, allow engine oil to flow back into the oil pan for approximately 3 minutes.
1. Pull out oil dipstick and wipe it off with a clean, lint-free cloth. Push dipstick back in fully, pull it out again and read off the oil level => Markings on the oil dipstick. Correct the engine-oil level if necessary.
Information
- After changing the oil, the oil level must be checked on the dipstick.
- The engine must have reached its operating temperature.
Markings on the oil dipstick
- 1 - Max. marking
- 2 - Min. marking
- a - Above cross-hatched area up to Max. marking: no more oil needs to be added.
- b - Oil level within cross-hatched area: additional engine oil can be added.
- c - Area from Min. marking to cross-hatched area: refill engine oil up to the cross-hatched area.
