Technical values





Preliminary work

1. If a new control unit has to be installed, the values/coding must be read out using the 2nd generation PIWIS Tester 9818 prior to removing the "old" control unit. -> 912455 Replacing car radio 912455 Replacing car radio.

Installation position of car radio

1. Switch off ignition and remove remote control.
2. Unscrew the four fastening screws -1- and pull out the car radio.

3. Release the securing clip -2- for the electric plug connection -3- by lifting the locking lug -a-.

4. Release the electric plug connection by opening -arrow B- the securing clip and unplug it.
5. Release the electric plug connection -4- ( -b- ) and unplug it.

Installing car radio

1. Press in the electric plug connection -4- until the connector engages securely.

2. Place the electric plug connection -3- onto the car radio and lock the plug connection by closing -arrow C- the securing clip -2-. Make sure that the locking lug latches into place -a-.

3. Insert the car radio into the mounting.
3.1. Insert the car radio as far as it will go -arrow-.
3.2. Make sure that the lines are not pinched.
4. Position the four fastening screws -1- and tighten.=> Tightening torque: 7 Nm (5 ftlb.)

Subsequent work

1. If the control unit was replaced, the "new" control unit must be adapted to suit the vehicle using the 2nd generation PIWIS Tester 9818. -> 912455 Replacing car radio 912455 Replacing car radio.
