Technical values





Preliminary work

1. Remove A-pillar trim. -> 705719 Removing and installing A-pillar trim panel - section on "Removing" 705719 Removing and installing A-pillar trim
2. Remove front grab handle. -> 683519 Removing and installing front grab handle - section on "Removing" 683519 Removing and Installing Front Handle
3. Remove upper part of B-pillar trim. The belt remains on the seat. -> 706719 Removing and installing B-pillar trim panel - section on "Removing" 70671901 Removing and installing upper part of B-pillar trim panel
4. Remove front roof trim panel. -> 708319 Removing and installing front roof trim panel - section on "Removing" 708319 Removing and installing front roof trim panel

Removing sun visor





Installation position of sun visor

1. Lift up the sun visor slightly and unclip it from its holder -A-.

2. Swivel out the sun visor -B-.
3. Open cover for sun visor holder.

4. Unscrew fastening screw -1- securing sun visor holder.

5. Unclip cover for sun visor base using an assembly wedge.

6. Unscrew fastening screws -1-.

7. Detach the roof trim panel.

Information

- To allow easier access to the plug connection for the sun visor, the front part of the roof trim panel must be detached slightly and lowered carefully after removing the following parts.

Information

Make sure that the roof cover does not buckle.





Lowering the roof trim panel

7.1. Unscrew fastening screws -1- on front roof trim panel -A-.
7.2. Unclip roof trim panel from the fastening clips close to the sliding roof cut-out. (Only on vehicles with sliding roof)
7.3. Lower the roof trim panel half-way -B-.
8. Disconnect plug connection.

8.1. Disconnect plug connection -3- from the bracket -2- ( -A- ).
8.2. Disconnect plug connection -3- ( -B- ).
9. Unclip sun visor.

Installing sun visor

1. Clip in sun visor.

2. Secure plug connection.

2.1. Connect plug connection -3- ( -B- ).
2.2. Check that the plug connection is seated securely.
2.3. Clip plug connection -3- into the bracket -2- ( -A- ).
3. Secure the roof trim panel.
3.1. Move roof trim panel up into installation position -B-.

3.2. Clip in roof trim panel close to the sliding roof cut-out. (Only on vehicles with sliding roof)
3.3. Screw in fastening screws -1- => Tightening torque: 5.5 Nm (4 ftlb.) for the front roof trim panel -A-.
4. Screw in fastening screws -1- => Tightening torque: 5.5 Nm (4 ftlb.) for the sun visor.

5. Clip in cap for sun visor base.

6. Position holder for sun visor.

7. Screw in fastening screw -1- => Tightening torque: 5.5 Nm (4 ftlb.).
8. Close the cover until it engages securely.

9. Swivel in sun visor -B- and clip it into place -A-.

Subsequent work

1. Install A-pillar trim. -> 705719 Removing and installing A-pillar trim panel - section on "Installing" 705719 Removing and installing A-pillar trim

3. Install upper part of B-pillar trim. -> 706719 Removing and installing B-pillar trim panel - section on "Installing" 70671901 Removing and installing upper part of B-pillar trim panel
4. Install front roof trim panel. -> 708319 Removing and installing front roof trim panel - section on "Installing" 708319 Removing and installing front roof trim panel
