Replacing rear level sensor

Information

- In running gear with level adjustment, a level sensor is installed on each spring strut.

- The level sensor is screwed to the suspension subframe and lower control arm.

- Make sure that the level sensor is fitted with the swivel range of the lever towards the outside of the vehicle.

1. Use an open-ended wrench to counter at the two flats and unscrew the fastening nut on the linkage.

2. Press the electric connector -top arrow- together and disconnect it.
3. Unscrew the fastening screw -bottom arrow- and take out the level sensor.

4. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Observe lever position on level sensor.

Calibrating the level sensor

1. Connect the Porsche System Tester to the vehicle and start the System Tester. Switch on ignition.
2. Select vehicle type using the cursor keys.
3. Select Levelling system/PASM using the cursor keys.
4. Select the Maintenance/Repairs menu and run the function for calibrating the level sensor.
5. Read out fault memory. If fault is present, proceed in accordance with Rep - Gr. 4316 Levelling system diagnosis.
