5.2. Pull valve using relay puller 9235 if necessary.
6. Remove upper part of oil pan.
6.1. Unscrew 11 inner Torx screws (T30) M6 x 25.
6.2. Unscrew 10 inner Torx screws (T30) M6 x 25.

Screws on upper part of oil pan

7. Lift up upper part and turn it clockwise until it can be lifted up over the oil pump.
7.1. Be careful with the moulded seal - check this and replace it if necessary.
7.2. Clean and degrease sealing faces (using solvent naphtha or metal cleaner for example). Allow parts to dry off well.

Installation

Installing oil pan (upper part)

1. Fit and position upper part of oil pan.
1.1. Check that the moulded seal is seated correctly.
1.2. Screw in and tighten 21 inner Torx screws (T30) M6 x 25.
1.3. Tighten screws according to tightening specifications. Screws 1-4 must be re-tightened.
=> Tightening torque: 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)

Upper part of oil pan

2. Install oil pressure control valve.
