Adjusting front door window

Information

The front door window must be adjusted properly both with the weather protector installed and removed.

It is important to check this as incorrect adjustment could result in differences in height from the convertible top (B-pillar area) and the door window may not be flush with the convertible top.

1. Close the hood.

Information

The door window glass must be guided in under the sealing lip using your hand (risk of damage to A-pillar sealing lip).

6. Carefully close the door and check the seal running along the glass edge of the cowl panel frame and roof frame.
7. Adjust door window glass in X and Z direction.

Adjusting door window glass

The preset dimension gives the pressing force of the edge of the door window on the door seal at the top and sides.
If the control dimension is not reached with the standard preset dimension, the preset dimension must be adapted as required until the control dimension is observed in each case.
8.2. Tighten fastening nuts on the bottom of the window lifter. => Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
9. Unlock door lock/rotary latch.
10. Check closing depth of door window glass.

Window lowering function

10.1. Close the door.
10.2. Use a wax marker to mark the door window glass along the roof frame seal.
