Preliminary work

1. Remove C-pillar trim. -> 706819 Removing and installing C-pillar trim - section on "Removing" 706819 Removing and installing C-pillar trim
2. Remove the rear side trim panel. -> 707519 Removing and installing rear side trim panel - section on "Removing" 707519 Removing and installing rear side trim panel
3. Remove D-pillar trim. -> 706919 Removing and installing D-pillar trim - section on "Removing" 706919 Removing and installing D-pillar trim
4. Remove cover for rear lock support. -> 703919 Removing and installing cover for rear lock support - section on "Removing" 703919 Removing and installing cover for rear lock support

Information

Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. These must be carried out as a mirror image of the steps shown.

Information

- To reduce the unclipping forces and thereby the risk of damage during removal, the removal steps must be carried out at the accessible connection points using a suitable tool.

1. Unscrew the expansion rivets -1-.

2. Detach rear side trim panel in area -A-.
3. Release electrical plug connection for loudspeaker -a- and pull it off -B-.

4. On left side only:Disconnect electrical plug connection from socket. -> 905819 Removing and installing socket - section on "Removing"
5. Unclip side trim panel at the marked areas -circles-.

Information

Information

- Check that all the fastening clips are positioned fully and correctly.

- Check that all the fastening clips are not bent or broken.

- Replace damaged or missing clips with new ones.

1. Position side trim panel at bottom.

2. Plug in electrical plug connection for loudspeaker until it engages securely.

3. On left side only: Plug in electrical plug connection of socket. -> 905819 Removing and installing socket - section on "Installing"
4. Clip in side trim panel at the marked areas -circles-.
5. Screw in the expansion rivets -1-.

Subsequent work

1. Install the rear side trim panel. -> 707519 Removing and installing rear side trim panel - section on "Installing" 707519 Removing and installing rear side trim panel
2. Install C-pillar trim. -> 706819 Removing and installing C-pillar trim - section on "Installing" 706819 Removing and installing C-pillar trim
3. Install D-pillar trim. -> 706919 Removing and installing D-pillar trim - section on "Installing" 706919 Removing and installing D-pillar trim
4. Install cover for rear lock support. -> 703919 Removing and installing cover for rear lock support - section on "Installing" 703919 Removing and installing cover for rear lock support
