Preliminary work

1. Remove trim strip for front door. -> 663319 Removing and installing A-pillar moulding - section on "Removing" 66331901 Removing and installing trim strip for front door or 66331903 Removing and installing trim strip for rear door
2. Remove front window shaft seal. -> 644819 Removing and installing front window channel seal - section on "Removing" 644819 Removing and installing front window channel seal

Removing front B-pillar cover

Information

Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. These must be carried out as a mirror image of the steps shown.

1. Unclip window frame cover -1- with a plastic wedge, starting at the top.

2. Detach front window guide at the trim. -> 644519 Front window guide - section on "Removing" 644519 Removing and installing front window guide
3. Unscrew fastening screws -1- on B-pillar cover.

4. Pull the cover up and off.

Installing front B-pillar cover

1. The front B-pillar cover is installed in reverse order to removal.

Subsequent work

1. Install front window channel seal. -> 644819 Removing and installing front window channel seal - section on "Installing" 644819 Removing and installing front window channel seal
2. Install trim strip for front door. -> 663319 Removing and installing A-pillar moulding - section on "Installing" 66331903 Removing and installing trim strip for rear door or 66331901 Removing and installing trim strip for front door
