Intake Air Duct: Service and Repair
WM 243519 Removing and installing air box for throttle housing (intake pipes upstream of throttle valve)
Preliminary work
1. Remove engine compartment cover at the front and left. -> 700219 Removing and installing front trim (engine compartment) - section on "Removing"
2. Pull off throttle cover. -> 108319 Removing and installing engine cover (design cover) on DFI engines - section on "Removing"

1. Loosen screw-type clamp on the throttle housing. Disconnect cable plug of mass air flow meter. -arrows-

2. Turn both fastening bolts on the air cleaner housing from the initial mark to the removal mark. => Fastening bolts

3. Pull out both fastening bolts with pointed-nose pliers. Pull intake pipe out of air cleaner housing by joggling it. => Pulling out fastening bolts

4. Carefully raise intake pipe and pull off cable for mass air flow meter on the intake pipe underneath the intake pipe. => Cable on intake pipe

5. Remove intake pipe.
Installing air box for throttle housing (intake pipes upstream of throttle valve)
1. Place intake manifold in installation position.
2. Insert cable for mass air flow meter on the intake pipe underneath the intake pipe. => Cable on intake pipe

3. Press intake manifold into the air-cleaner housing. Push in both fastening bolts as far as they will go.
4. Turn both fastening bolts on the air cleaner housing from the removal mark back to the initial mark. => Fastening bolts

5. Move intake pipe into installation position, fit screw-type clamp on throttle housing. Connect cable plug for mass air flow meter. -arrows-

Subsequent work
1. Press on throttle cover.-> 108319 Removing and installing engine cover (design cover) on DFI engines - section on "Installing"
2. Fit engine compartment cover at the front and left.-> 700219 Removing and installing front trim (engine compartment) - section on "Installing"
