Removing reservoir
WARNING
Caustic fluids
- Danger of chemical burns
-> Avoid contact with caustic fluid.
-> Wear personal protective gear.
-> Ensure that there is good ventilation.
-> If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.
NOTICE
Pentosin
- Water hoses can soften and may be damaged irreparably
-> Always keep water hoses away from Pentosin.
-> Water hoses that come into contact with Pentosin must be thoroughly cleaned immediately.
-> Water hoses that have already been contaminated with Pentosin over a long time must be replaced.
Information
- Close off PDCC lines using suitable stoppers if the reservoir is not installed immediately.
- Pay attention to cleanliness!
Information
Overfilling the system can cause Pentosin to overflow onto coolant hoses and other components. The engine must be run for approx. 20 seconds prior to the fluid level check. Check the fluid level.
Installation position of PDCC reservoir
1. Empty the hydraulic fluid reservoir -2- using a suitable suction device. Use only one suction device that is used exclusively for Pentosin, not for any other fluids.
2. Disconnect hoses -2- from the reservoir -1-.
Hoses at the reservoir
2.1. Open and pull back clamps -3- using a suitable pair of pliers.
2.2. Place a suitable absorbent cloth underneath and use a drip pan if possible.
2.3. Pull off hoses -2-.
3. Loosen the fastening nut -4- and remove the reservoir -1- in an upward direction.
Installing reservoir
1. Insert the retaining lug -2- on the reservoir -1- at the rear into the guide -3-.
Fitting reservoir
2. Fit fastening nut -4-. -> 4X00IN Tightening torques for levelling system [1][2]Specifications
Hoses at the reservoir
3. Fit hoses -2-.
3.1. Attach hoses -2- to the connections on the reservoir -1-.
3.2. Open the clamps -3- using a suitable pair of pliers and position them on the hoses.
4. Fill the reservoir with Pentosin.
