Replacing reservoir (PDCC)
WARNING
Caustic fluids
- Danger of chemical burns
-> Avoid contact with caustic fluid.
-> Wear personal protective gear.
-> Ensure that there is good ventilation.
-> If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.
Information
Overfilling the system can cause Pentosin to overflow onto coolant hoses and other components. The engine must be run for approx. 20 seconds prior to the fluid level check. Check the fluid level.
Installation position of PDCC reservoir
1. Empty the PDCC reservoir using a suitable suction device. Use only one suction device that is used exclusively for Pentosin, not for any other fluids.
2. Remove hoses -2-.
Removing hoses
2.1. Open and pull back clamps -3- using a suitable pair of pliers.
2.2. Place a suitable absorbent cloth underneath and use a drip pan if possible.
NOTICE
Pentosin
- Water hoses can soften and may be damaged irreparably
-> Always keep water hoses away from Pentosin.
-> Water hoses that come into contact with Pentosin must be thoroughly cleaned immediately.
-> Water hoses that have already been contaminated with Pentosin over a long time must be replaced.
Information
- Close off PDCC lines using suitable stoppers if the reservoir is not installed immediately.
- Pay attention to cleanliness!
2.3. Pull off hoses -2-.
3. Unscrew fastening nut -4- on the reservoir, carefully press the holding strap away and remove the reservoir -1-.
4. Insert PDCC reservoir -1- at the rear into the guide and screw in fastening nut -4- to the specified tightening torque. -> 4X00IN Tightening torques for levelling system [1][2]Specifications
5. Fit hoses -2-.
5.1. Fit hoses -2- to the connection piece.
5.2. Open the clamps -3- using a suitable pair of pliers and slide them onto the connection piece.
6. Fill the PDCC reservoir -1- with Pentosin.
Subsequent work
