Preliminary work

1. If the loudspeaker amplifier has to be replaced, the values must be read out prior to removal using the 2nd generation PIWIS Tester 9818. -> 914455 Replacing loudspeaker amplifier 914455 Replacing loudspeaker amplifier.
2. Remove rear right luggage compartment side-panel lining. -> 700319 Removing and installing side-panel lining for rear luggage compartment - section on "Removing" Service and Repair

NOTICE

Voltage peaks

- Risk of damage to load or to the control unit

-> Switch off ignition and remove remote control before disconnecting or removing load.

Information

Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!

- Assembly work must only be carried out if the mechanic is wearing the working clothes and shoes approved by Porsche.

- The new part must only be removed from the ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging just before installation and at the position at which the part is to be installed.

- Never touch the electric pins and plug contacts.

1. Unscrew three fastening screws -1-.

2. Release electric plug connection using a screwdriver -a- and pull it off -B-.

3. Release electric plug connection -a- and pull it off -B-.

Installing

Installing loudspeaker amplifier

1. Plug in electric plug connection -B- and lock it -a-.

2. Plug in electric plug connection -arrow- until it engages securely.

3. Screw in three fastening screws -1-. => Tightening torque: 8 Nm (6 ftlb.)

Subsequent work

1. If the loudspeaker amplifier was replaced, the values must be written using the 2nd generation PIWIS Tester 9818. -> 914455 Replacing loudspeaker amplifier 914455 Replacing loudspeaker amplifier.
2. Install rear right luggage compartment side-panel lining. -> 700319 Removing and installing side-panel lining for rear luggage compartment - section on "Installing" Service and Repair
