Preliminary work
1. If the CDR has to be replaced, the values/data must be read out prior to removal using PIWIS Tester II 9818. -> 911055 Replacing PCM 911055 Replacing PCM.

Information
Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!
- Assembly work must only be carried out if the mechanic is wearing the working clothes and shoes approved by Porsche.
- The new part must only be removed from the ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging just before installation and at the position at which the part is to be installed.
- Never touch the electric pins and plug contacts.
Installation position of PCM/CDR
1. Unscrew four fastening screws -1-.

2. Remove CDR -2- ( -A- ).
3. Release electric plug connections -1 + 2- ( -a- ) and pull them off -arrow-.

4. Release electric plug connections -3 + 4- ( -a- ) and pull them off -A-.

5. Release clip -1- on electric plug connection -a- and bend it down -A- , then pull off electric plug connection -B-.

Installing car radio
1. The display and operator control unit is installed in reverse order to removal.
2. Tighten four fastening screws -1- on the display and operator control unit -2- to => Tightening torque: 7.5 Nm (5.5).
Securing PCM/CDR
Subsequent work
1. If the CDR was replaced, the values/data must be written into the new CDR using PIWIS Tester II 9818. -> 911055 Replacing PCM 911055 Replacing PCM.
2. Install centre air vent at the left and right. -> 855319 Removing and installing centre air vent - section on "Installing" 855319 Removing and installing centre air nozzle
