Gap dimensions of panorama roof
=> Gap dimension: 10 mm+/-1.2 mm
Roof to front lid
=> Gap dimension: 1.4 mm+/-1 mm
Roof to front lid
=> Gap dimension: 2 mm+/-0.5 mm
Front lid to rear lid
=> Gap dimension: 1 mm+1.2 mm-0.6 mm
Front lid to rear lid
=> Gap dimension: 10 mm+/-1.2 mm
Rear lid to roof
=> Gap dimension: 0.8 mm+/-1 mm

Removing roof assembly panels

Information
Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. These must be carried out as a mirror image of the steps shown.
1. Raise the glass panel -2- until the side covers -1- are accessible.

2. Pull the covers -1- out to the rear from the passenger compartment -A-.
3. Pull the seal -3- off the assembly frame until the fastening screws -2- are accessible.

4. Unscrew fastening screws -2- on the glass panel -1-.
5. Lift the glass panel up and remove it.

1. Pull the seal -3- off the assembly frame until the fastening screws -2- are accessible.

2. Unscrew fastening screws -2- on the glass panel -1-.
3. Raise the front panel -4-.
4. Slide the rear glass panel -1- slightly under the front glass panel -4- ( -A- ).

5. Only lift the rear part of the rear glass panel -1- out of the roof cut-out -B-.
6. Guide out the rear glass panel -1- by moving it up at an angle -C- over the roof and under the front glass panel -4-.

Information

1. Move the powered sunroof mechanism -3- as far as required on both sides until the slider -6- is between the markings -5-.

Information
Always use new screws when installing the glass panel.
2. Insert the glass panel into the powered sunroof mechanism -3- from above and screw in but do not tighten the fastening screws -2-.
Installing front panel
3. Set gap dimensions for the front panel. Gap dimension 10 mm +/-1.2 mm Gap dimension 1.4 mm +/-1 mm Gap dimension 2 mm +/-0.5 mm Gap dimension 1 mm +1.2 mm -0.6 mm
When positioning the panel, check that there is an equal gap between the panel and roof cut-out. Align the panel in the longitudinal and transverse direction if necessary.
4. Tighten fastening screws -2- to => Tightening torque: 7 Nm (5 ftlb.).
5. Press the seal -3- onto the assembly frame.
6. Slide the covers -1- into the rails for the front glass panel -2- ( -A- ).

7. Once you have completed all required work, teach the roof system.-> 6006AN Teaching roof systems 6006AN Teaching roof systems
Installing rear panel for roof assembly
1. Slide the rear glass panel -1- from above at an angle under the front glass panel -1- ( -A- ).

2. Fit the rear part of the rear glass panel -1- down into the roof cut-out -B- and slide it towards the rear -C-.
Information
Always use new screws when installing the glass panel.
3. Screw in fastening screws -2- , but do not tighten them.

4. Adjust gap dimensions. Gap dimension 2 mm +/-0.5 mm Gap dimension 1 mm +1.2 mm -0.6 mm Gap dimension 10 mm +/-1.2 mm Gap dimension 0.8 mm +/-1 mm

5. Tighten fastening screws -2- to => Tightening torque: 7 Nm (5 ftlb.).
6. Press the seal -3- onto the assembly frame.
