Preliminary work for removing and installing vacuum line for brake booster

1. Remove alarm siren. -> 966519 Removing and installing alarm siren - section on "Removing" Service and Repair
2. Remove the right cross panel. -> 508119 Removing and installing cross panel - section on "Removing" Service and Repair

Installation position of vacuum line for brake booster

1. Carefully pull the vacuum line -1- out of the brake booster -2-.

2. Release electric plug connection -1- from the vacuum control valve -2- ( -a- ) and pull it off -A-.

3. Unclip vacuum line -1- from the retaining clip -2- in a downward direction.

4. Carefully pull the vacuum line -1- with the rubber boot -2- up out of the bulkhead -3-.

5. Carefully guide the vacuum line to the right and out of the plenum panel.
6. Loosen clamp -1- on vacuum line -2- for brake booster at the vacuum pump -3-.

Installing vacuum line for brake booster

1. Carefully guide the vacuum line into the plenum panel from the right.
2. Clip the vacuum line -1- into the retaining clip -2- in the plenum panel.

3. Plug in electric plug connection -1- for the vacuum control valve -2- ( -A- ) and lock it -a-.

Information

The two O-rings on the vacuum line at the vacuum pump must always be replaced.

4. Fit vacuum line -2- for brake booster onto the vacuum pump -3- and secure the clamp -1-.

5. Carefully press the vacuum line -1- with the rubber boot -2- into the bulkhead -3-.

6. Carefully fit the vacuum line -1- into the brake booster -2-.
