1. If the rear air-conditioning system regulator has to be replaced, the values/data must be read out prior to removal using PIWIS Tester II 9818.

Information

Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!

- Assembly work must only be carried out if the mechanic is wearing the working clothes and shoes approved by Porsche.

- The new part must only be removed from the ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging just before installation and at the position at which the part is to be installed.

- Never touch the electric pins and plug contacts.

Information

- The ignition must be switched off and the ignition key removed before the control unit for the auxiliary air conditioning system can be removed.

Information

- To reduce the unclipping forces and thereby the risk of damage during removal, the removal steps must be carried out at the accessible connection points using a suitable tool.

1. Unscrew screws -2- on the rear air-conditioning system regulator -1- from the centre console -3-.

2. Unclip fixing clips -4- from the centre console -3- using a suitable tool.
3. Release electric plug connection -2- for heated seats -a- and pull it off the air-conditioning system regulator -arrow-.

4. Release electric plug connection -3- for air-conditioning system regulator -b- and pull it off the air-conditioning system regulator -arrow-.

Installing rear air-conditioning system regulator

1. The rear air-conditioning system regulator is installed in reverse order to removal.

Subsequent work

1. Install rear centre air jet. -> 855719 Removing and installing rear centre air jet - section on "Installing" 855719 Removing and installing rear centre air vent
2. If the rear air-conditioning system regulator was replaced, the values/data must be loaded using PIWIS Tester II 9818.
