Preliminary work
1. Remove front apron. -> 631519 Removing and installing front apron - section on "Removing"
2. Remove wheel housing liner. -> 505619 Removing and installing front wheel housing liner - section on "Removing" Service and Repair
Removing air guide
Information
Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. These must be carried out as a mirror image of the steps shown.
Air guide - V8
1. Pull the air guide -1- forward -arrow- out of the air cleaner housing -2- from the wheel housing.
Unclip it carefully at the locking lugs using a suitable tool if necessary.

2. Remove the air guide -1-.

2.1. Pull the air guide -1- forward -A-.
2.2. While pulling it out of the lock carrier -2- , turn the air guide anti-clockwise -B-.
2.3. Remove the air guide completely from the vehicle.
Installing air guide
1. Slide the air guide -1- through the lock carrier -2- into the vehicle -A- while turning it clockwise -B-.
When guiding in the air guide, make sure not to kink the edge on the lock carrier.
Installing air guide
2. Make sure that the air box on the air guide is seated correctly in the sound absorber on the lock carrier.
3. Insert the air guide -1- into the air cleaner housing -2- from the wheel housing and engage the retaining lugs -3- into the cut-outs -4- on the air cleaner housing.
Fitting air guide
Subsequent work
1. Install wheel housing liner. -> 505619 Removing and installing front wheel housing liner - section on "Installing" Service and Repair
2. Install front apron. -> 631519 Removing and installing front apron - section on "Installing"
