Removing spray nozzle for headlight cleaning system
Information
Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. These must be carried out as a mirror image of the steps shown.
Installation position for spray nozzle for headlight cleaning system
1. Disengage cap -5- on the nozzle head.
Removing spray nozzle
2. Press out nozzle head -4 - from the inside and hold it securely.
3. Disengage the cap -5- at the latches of the nozzle head and remove it.
4. Unscrew the two fastening screws -3-.
5. Disengage spray nozzle for headlight cleaning system -1- with the clip -2- in an upward direction out of the front apron and pull it out towards the rear.
6. Remove spray nozzle for headlight cleaning system -1- from the guide -A-.
Installing spray nozzle for headlight cleaning system
1. Push spray nozzle for headlight cleaning system -1- into the front apron -B- and engage with the clip -2-.
Installing spray nozzle
2. Secure spray nozzle for headlight cleaning system -1- with the fastening screws -3- on the front apron.
=> Tightening torque: 2.3 Nm (1.5 ftlb.)
3. Press out nozzle head -4- from the inside and hold it securely.
4. Engage the cap -5- at the latches on the nozzle head -4-.
Subsequent work
1. Install front apron. -> 631519 Removing and installing front apron - section on "Installing"
2. Bleed the spray nozzles. The system is bled by activating the spray nozzles for the headlight cleaning system several times. Depending on whether the left or right spray nozzle was removed, or whether the water reservoir for the headlight cleaning system was completely emptied or not, the bleeding process can require frequent actuation of the spray nozzle.
