Preliminary work

Preliminary work for removing air vent at door in dashboard

1. Remove dashboard cover on passenger's side.-> 701619 Removing and installing dashboard cover - section on "Removing" Service and Repair
2. Remove left moulding on driver's side. -> 705819 Removing and installing dashboard moulding - section on "Removing" 705819 Removing and installing moulding for dashboard

1. Unscrew fastening screws -1- for air vent at door.

2. Pry out the plastic tabs -2- using a plastic wedge.

3. Remove air vent from the inside -arrow-.
4. Unplug electric plug connection.

1. Insert a plastic wedge between the air vent and the B-pillar.

2. Release the three locking lugs -1- and remove air vent.

1. Connect electrical plug connection.

2. Insert air vent into the dashboard -arrow- and place in position.

3. Engage plastic tabs -2- and check that they are seated securely.
4. Tighten fastening screws -1-.

Installing air vent at door in B-pillar

1. Position air vent and insert until locking lugs -1- engage securely.

2. Make sure that all locking lugs engage.

2. Install dashboard cover on passenger's side.-> 701619 Removing and installing dashboard cover - section on "Installing" Service and Repair
