Preliminary work

Remove front floor covering. -> 704119 Removing and installing floor covering - section on "Removing"

Removing air vent

Information

Only when removing the right air vent.





Installation position of air vent

1. Unscrew the two fastening screws -1- on the air vent.

2. Unscrew the fastening nut on the B-pillar air guide.

3. Pull the air vent out of the centre rear air guide -1- , the B-pillar air guide -2- and the air guide at the front centre console -3-.

4. Remove the two line brackets -2- from the air vent.

5. Release electric plug connection for the temperature sensor -a- and disconnect it -arrow A-.

6. Release and disconnect electric plug connections for the servo motors.

7. Pull the air vent up and off.

Installing air vent

1. Plug in electric plug connections until they engage securely.

2. Plug in electric plug connection for the temperature sensor until it engages securely.

3. Insert the two line brackets -2- into the air vent.

4. Position the air vent and slide it into the centre rear air guide -1- , the B-pillar air guide -2- and the air guide at the front centre console -3-.

5. Make sure that all the air guides engage securely.
6. Tighten the fastening nut on the B-pillar air guide.

7. Tighten the two fastening screws -1- on the air vent.

Subsequent work

Install front floor covering. -> 704119 Removing and installing floor covering - section on "Installing"
