Technical values





Preliminary work

1. Remove trim panel for tailgate. -> 709219 Removing and installing trim panel for tailgate - section on "Removing" Service and Repair

Removing upper part of rear lid lock

WARNING

Moving components

- Danger of limbs being trapped or severed

-> Do not reach into the danger area.
-> Secure the system to prevent it from being activated accidentally.
-> Keep third parties away from the danger area.

Information

- When removing the upper part of the lid lock with a closing aid, first disconnect the plug connection for the power supply.

- This prevents the closing aid motor from starting up while you are disconnecting the plug connection/control system.

1. Switch off ignition and disconnect remote control.
2. Unclip emergency release -1- ( -2- ).

3. Loosen fastening screws -3- for upper part of lid lock.

4. Release plug connection for power supply -4- ( -a- ) and pull it off -A-.

5. Release plug connection for control system -5- ( -a- ) and pull it off -A-.

6. Unscrew the two fastening screws and remove upper part of lid lock.

Installing upper part of rear lid lock

1. Place upper part of lid lock in installation position.
2. Screw in fastening screws for upper part of lid lock => Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ftlb.).
3. Connect plug connections.

3.1. Plug in connector for control system -5- ( -B- ) until it engages securely.
3.2. Plug in connector for power supply -4- ( -A- ) until it engages securely.
4. Clip in emergency release -1- ( -2- ).

Subsequent work

1. Install trim panel for tailgate. -> 709219 Removing and installing trim panel for tailgate - section on "Installing" Service and Repair
2. Program reversing camera. -> 914325 Programming reversing camera Testing and Inspection
