Preliminary work

1. Remove front seat.
-> 720119 Removing and installing front seat 720119 Removing and Installing Front Seat
2. For seats with memory function on driver's side:
Remove control unit for memory seat adjustment.

3. For seats with weight sensing (AWS) on front passenger side:
Remove AWS control unit.

Removing suction fan for seat surface

1. Remove fastening screws for suction fan.

1.1. Remove fastening screws -1, 2, 3, 4- for suction fan holder.
1.1.1. Only for standard seats with memory seat adjustment and air conditioning:
The fastening screw -1- is secured underneath the padding with a hexagon nut.
1.2. Remove fastening screws -5, 6, 7- for the suction fan on the holder.
1.3. Remove suction fan holder from suction fan for seat surface.
2. Unplug connector for suction fan -1- ( -A- ).

3. Remove suction fan.

3.1. To release the suction fan, turn it clockwise -A- and counter at the air duct while doing this.
3.2. Remove suction fan -B-.

Installing suction fan for seat surface

1. Check rubber mounting -1- on suction fan holder for damage and replace it if necessary.

Information

- Ensure that the suction fan is installed at the correct position.

2. Insert suction fan for seat surface into the air duct -A- , press it in and turn anti-clockwise -B- until the suction fan is fully locked in the air duct.

3. Plug in connector for suction fan -1- ( -A- ).

4. Fit fastening screws for suction fan.

4.1. Fit fastening screws -5, 6, 7- for the suction fan on the holder.
4.2. Fit fastening screws -1, 2, 3, 4- for suction fan holder.
4.2.1. Only for standard seats with memory seat adjustment and air conditioning:
The fastening screw -1- is secured underneath the padding with a hexagon nut.

Subsequent work

1. For seats with memory function on driver's side:
Install control unit for memory seat adjustment.

Install AWS control unit.
