Preliminary work

1. Remove padding for front middle backrest.

Removing heating element for front backrest

1. Unplug the two plug connections -1 and 2- for seat heating in the side bolsters.

2. Remove seat heating line for front middle backrest.
2.1. Cut the tie-wrap -1- under the side of the seat using side cutters.

2.2. Cut the two tie-wraps -1 and 2- on the underside of the seat using side cutters.

2.3. Unplug the plug connections -1- for seat heating for the front middle backrest.

3. Detach the cover -1- at the rear on the side on which the seat heating cable is routed towards the front -arrow A-.

4. Pull the cover -1- down slightly -A- and guide the connector -2- through towards the front -B-.

5. Remove cover for middle backrest.

6. Remove cover for front backrest.

Installing heating element for front backrest

1. Install cover for front backrest.

2. Install cover for middle backrest.
-> 742019 Removing and installing cover for front middle backrest 742019 Removing and installing cover for front middle backrest
3. Pull the cover -1- down slightly -A- and guide the connector -2- through towards the rear -B-.

4. Attach the cover -1- at the rear -arrow A-.

5. Fit the seat heating line for the front middle backrest.
5.1. Plug in the plug connections -1- for seat heating for the front middle backrest.

5.2. Fit the two tie-wraps -1 and 2- on the underside of the seat.

5.3. Fit the tie-wrap -1- under the side of the seat.

6. Plug in the two plug connections -1 and 2- for seat heating in the side bolsters.

Subsequent work

1. Install padding for front middle backrest.
