DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE P0605
Control module, internal fault

Fault Symptoms
CHECK ENGINE lamp (MIL) on.
Indefinable (different functions may be affected, depending on the internal memory fault program fault).

Condition
The control module's program does not coincide with its original programming.

Diagnostic Procedure.
Clear the diagnostic trouble code and drive the car to see whether the DTC is generated again.

If it is, remove the control module and check its connector, paying particular attention to possible slide out of the connecting sleeves.
Check the control module's ground connection and power supply (see diagnostic trouble code P1500, step 3). P1500
Refit the control module, clear the trouble code and drive the car on test again.

If the trouble code recurs, continue at "Procedure Before ECM Replacement". Component Tests
If the trouble code is not generated again the remedial measure taken was correct, otherwise the fault is of intermittent type.
