Skid Control Buzzer Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU is connected to the combination meter via CAN communication.
The combination meter has a built-in skid control buzzer. The skid control buzzer sounds during VSC operation.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTE: When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration Programming and Relearning.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
(a) Check if the CAN communication system DTC is output .
Result:

B -- INSPECT CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A -- Continue to next step.
2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER OR TECHSTREAM (SKID CONTROL BUZZER)
(a) Connect the intelligent tester or Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Start the engine.
(c) Select the Active Test mode on the intelligent tester or Techstream Data List / Active Test.

(d) Check that the buzzer sounds or stops in accordance with the intelligent tester or Techstream.
Result:

HINT: If troubleshooting has been carried out according to the Problem Symptoms Table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next step before replacing the part Problem Symptoms Table.

B -- REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
A -- Continue to next step.
3. REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
(a) Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
(b) Replace the combination meter Removal.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
4. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER OR TECHSTREAM (SKID CONTROL BUZZER)
(a) Connect the intelligent tester or Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Start the engine.
(c) Select the Active Test mode on the intelligent tester or Techstream Data List / Active Test.

(d) Check that the buzzer sounds or stops in accordance with the intelligent tester or Techstream.
