DTC Confirmation Procedure
NOTE:
Confirm that the following conditions are met in this "DTC Confirmation Procedure".
- Battery voltage > 11 V
1) Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "ON".
DTC Troubleshooting
1.
Was "Engine and Emission Control System Check" performed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to Engine and Emission Control System Check Engine and Emission Control System Check.
2. Throttle actuator control relay check
Check throttle actuator control relay. Testing and Inspection
Is it in good condition?
YES -
Go to Step 3.
NO -
Replace throttle actuator control relay.
3. Throttle actuator control relay power supply circuit check
Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is in "OFF".
Remove throttle actuator control relay.
Check for proper terminal connection to throttle actuator control relay connector.
If connections are OK, check that voltage between each of "A1" and "A2" circuits and ground is battery voltage with ignition mode of keyless push start system in "ON".
Are they in good condition?
YES -
Go to Step 4.
NO -
Repair or replace defective wire harness.
4. Throttle actuator control relay drive circuit and throttle actuator power supply circuit check
Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "OFF".
Disconnect "C01" and "E01" connectors.
Check the following points.
- Resistance of "A3" and "A4" circuits: less than 1 ohms
- Resistance between each of "A3" and "A4" circuits and ground: infinity
- Resistance between "A3" circuit terminal and other terminal at throttle actuator control relay connector: infinity
- Resistance between "A4" circuit terminal and other terminal at throttle actuator control relay connector: infinity
- Voltage of "A3" and "A4" circuits: 0 - 1 V (with ignition mode of keyless push start system in "ON")
Are they in good condition?
YES -
Replace ECM and recheck DTC. Service and Repair
NO -
Repair or replace defective wire harness.
