DTC P0785 SHIFT/TIMING SOLENOID (SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE ST)

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION

DTC Detecting Condition:

Shift solenoid valve ST is switched ON-OFF by a signal from ECM so that let in or out timing of 2nd brake is adjusted by operating orifice control valve. Therefore, ST solenoid operates when letting in or out reverse clutch.

If it is broken, the shift shock becomes big.

MONITOR DESCRIPTION

Monitor Strategy:

Typical Enabling Conditions:

Typical Malfunction Thresholds:

The ECM reduces the gear shift shock when shifting from the N position to the D position and from 3rd gear to 4th gear by regulating the hydraulic line pressure. To regulate the pressure, the ECM controls shift-solenoid ST with a duty-cycle signal that adjusts the line-pressure.

If the ECM detects an open or short in the shift-solenoid ST circuit, it will illuminate the MIL and store the DTC.
