INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the 2G connector from the instrument panel junction block assembly.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:





NG -- INSPECT PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
2. INSPECT PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the parking brake switch.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:





NG -- REPLACE PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY
OK -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (PARKING BRAKE SWITCH CIRCUIT)
