DTC B2781 - Open / Short in Steering Lock ECU

DESCRIPTION

If the steering lock ECU (steering lock actuator assembly) determines that there is a malfunction inside the ECU, it outputs this DTC. Diagnostic communication between the steering lock ECU (steering lock actuator assembly) and the Techstream is performed via the certification ECU as the steering lock ECU (steering lock actuator assembly) is not connected to CAN.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE
HINT: After replacing the steering lock ECU (steering lock actuator assembly), confirm the Initialization of the steering lock Programming and Relearning.

PROCEDURE

1. REPLACE STEERING LOCK ECU (STEERING LOCK ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY)
HINT: The steering lock ECU and steering lock actuator assembly are supplied as a single unit.
(a) Replace the steering lock ECU (steering lock actuator assembly) Removal.
