DTC C1448/98 - Yaw Rate Sensor Output Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU receives signals from the yaw rate and acceleration sensor via the CAN communication system.
The yaw rate sensor has a built-in acceleration sensor and detects the vehicle condition.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(b) Start and idle the engine.
(c) Drive the vehicle at a speed of 20 km/h (12 mph) or more for at least 120 seconds, and then stop the engine.
(d) Check if the same DTC is recorded Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
