Ribbed Belt

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Release tool (T10060A)

Removing

- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to

- Mark the direction of rotation of the ribbed belt.

- Rotate the belt tensioner in the- direction of the arrow - to release the tension on the ribbed belt.





- Secure the belt tensioner using the (T10060A).





- Remove the ribbed belt.

Installing

- Installation is performed in reverse order. When doing this note the following:

• When installing the ribbed belt, note the direction of rotation of the belt and be sure that belt is seated correctly on all pulleys.

• Install ribbed belt on the Air Conditioning (A/C) compressor pulley last.

After completing the repairs always:

- Start the engine and check the belt running.
