Headlamp Lift Cylinder with Spray Nozzles

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1783)

• Illustrations depict removal and installation of right lift cylinder. Removal of left lift cylinder is performed in the same way.

Removing:





- Switch ignition and all electrical consumers off and disengage the key or ignition switch in position 0 (ignition off).

- Remove front bumper cover.

- Remove spray nozzles with cover cap - 1 - up to stop out of bumper cover.

- Unclip cover cap - 1 - on both sides out of bearings - arrow - on washer nozzle holder.

- Press and hold securing clip - arrow - and disconnect hose connection - 3 - from lift cylinder.





- Remove screws - 1 -.

- Remove lift cylinder - 2 - from bumper cover.

Installing:





Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

- Tighten the screws - 1 - to the tightening specification shown in => [ Fastener Tightening Specifications, Headlamp Washer System ] Fastener Tightening Specifications, Headlamp Washer System.

- Bleed headlamp washer system after completing assembly work, refer to => [ Headlamp Washer System, Bleeding ] Headlamp Washer System, Bleeding.
