Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Trim Removal Wedge (VAS 3409)
• Release Lever (T10039)
From 12.06 (model year 2007), the interior monitoring deactivation and deactivate vehicle inclination sensor have been combined into one button with one symbol.
When removing and installing components in a visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), mask off the areas at which a prying tool ( (VAS 3409) , screwdriver) will be positioned, using commercially available adhesive tape.
• To remove the Interior Monitoring Deactivation Switch and Deactivate Vehicle Inclination Sensor Button, anti-theft warning system must be deactivated.
• The Interior Monitoring Deactivation Switch and Deactivate Vehicle Inclination Sensor Button comprise one component.
• Interior Monitoring Deactivation Switch and Deactivate Vehicle Inclination Sensor Button are located in B-pillar trim on driver's side.
Removal
- Turn off the ignition and all electric consumers and remove the key.
- Carefully pry up button - 1 - using (VAS 3409) or screwdriver.
- Release and disconnect connector - arrow - and remove it from button.
Installation
Install in reverse order of removal.
