Removing

CAUTION!
Risk of destroying due to reversed running direction on a used ribbed belt:

Before removing the ribbed belt, marking the running direction with chalk or felt tip pen for reinstallation later.

- Remove the right charge air hose - arrows -.





- To release tension on the ribbed belt, rotate the tensioner in the - direction of arrow - using a combination wrench.





- Secure the tensioner using the (T10060A).

- Remove the ribbed belt.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. When doing this note the following:

Before installing the ribbed belt, the generator and A/C compressor must be securely installed.

- Place the ribbed belt onto the crankshaft, A/C compressor and generator pulleys.





- Rotate the tensioner with the combination wrench in the - direction of arrow - and remove the (T10060A).





- Release the tensioner.

- Check whether the ribbed belt is routed correctly.

- Start the engine and check whether the ribbed belt runs correctly.
