Dual Mass Flywheel, Removing and Installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Counter-holder tool (3067)





Removing

- Remove the transmission => Torque Converter 37 Transmission, Removing and Installing.

CAUTION!
To prevent damage to dual-mass flywheel when removing, bolts - B - must not be unscrewed using an air-powered or impact wrench. Only removing bolts by hand is permitted.

- Mark the dual-mass flywheel to the engine.

- Rotate the dual-mass flywheel - A - so that the bolts - B - stand centered to the holes - arrows -.





- When removing bolts - B -, make sure that the bolt head does not contact the dual-mass flywheel - arrows - and thereby cause damage when turning it further.

- Insert counter-holder (3067) into hole in cylinder block - B -.





- Remove the dual-mass flywheel.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal, noting the following:

Tightening specifications => [ (Item 6) Bolt ] Sealing Flange, Transmission Side and Dual Mass Flywheel/Drive Plate, Assembly Overview

- Use new bolts when securing.

- Insert counter-holder (3067) into hole in cylinder block - A -.
