Check Resistance In Wheel Sensor [EF3]
Check Resistance In Wheel Sensor
- Ignition off.
- Front wheel sensors: Remove wheel(s) to improve access.
- Clean carefully round wheel sensor connector. Brush and blow clean.
- Disconnect wheel sensor
Connect an ohmmeter between wheel sensor connector terminals 1 and 2.
NOTE: In cars with integrated cabling to rear wheel sensors, take readings at connector 24/19 terminals: 2 and 4 (DTC 3-1-4, towards wheel sensor) 1 and 3 (DTC 3-1-3, towards wheel sensor).
Ohmmeter should read 1040-1160 Ohms.
If reading is OK:
- Check resistance in signal lead EF4. Check Resistance In Signal Lead [EF4]
If reading is incorrect:
- Try another wheel sensor as per NA. Front wheel sensor, replacement and NB. Rear wheel sensor, replacement. Service and Repair
NOTE: In cars with integrated cabling to rear wheel sensors: Check lead between wheel sensor and connector 24/19 for open circuit as per HA2 and short-circuit to each other HA4. Checking Leads and Connections [HA]
If leads are OK, try another wheel sensor as per NA or NB. Service and Repair
