DTC 2-1-3
EK. Fault code 2-1-3 Regina
2-1-3 Throttle contact in full load setting.
Conditions for fault message:
The throttle switch indicates a full load but the control unit's information on the load signal is that it is too low to be a full load. The fault code will be set if the engine is not at the starting setting or in an emergency mode.
Cause of fault:
Short circuit to ground in the wiring leading to the control unit.
The full toad switch does not disengage.
Fault symptoms:
None.
EK1
Checking of chassis connection
- Ignition On.
- Disconnect the throttle switch.
Connect an ohmmeter between 2 (ground) in the connector and ground.
The ohmmeter should show approx. 0 ohms.
If the value is OK:
^ Checking of voltage supply EK2.
If there is a different value:
^ Check the wiring and chassis connection for signs of breakage and connection resistance according to CD. CD. Checking of Wiring
EK2
Checking of voltage supply
- Disconnect the throttle switch.
- Ignition on.
Connect a voltmeter between 3 and 2 (ground) on the connector.
The voltmeter should show approx. 5 V.
If the value is OK:
^ Connection of measurement box EK3.
If the value differs:
^ Check the wiring and connections for short circuit to ground according to CD. CD. Checking of Wiring
EK3
Connection of measurement
Connect the measurement box to Regina and check the chassis connections according to N1-N2. N. Measurement Box, Signal Description
^ Continue with Checking of signal EK4.
EK4
Checking of signal
- Connect the control unit to the measurement box.
- Connect the throttle switch.
- Insert fuse no.1.
- Ignition on.
Connect a voltmeter between #3 and #5 (ground).
- Turn the throttle control to the full-throttle setting
The voltmeter should show approx. 0 V.
If voltage is approx. 5 V:
The full-load switch is never on.
^ Adjust the throttle switch according to RC. Adjustment of throttle switch. RC. Adjustment of Throttle Switch
- Turn the throttle control back a little.
The voltmeter should show approx. 5 V.
If both values are OK:
Intermittent fault.
^ Check the connectors for loose connections.
If voltage is still 0 V:
The full-load switch does not disengage.
^ Test with a new throttle switch.
^ Adjust the throttle switch according to RC. Adjustment of throttle switch. RC. Adjustment of Throttle Switch
^ Check the signal according to Checking of signal EK4
