Check (TRACS) Pressure Sensor Activation [EH10]

Check Traction Control System (TRACS) Pressure Sensor Activation





- Ignition off.
- Disconnect control module.

Connect an ohmmeter between #13 and #26 on test box.

- Push brake pedal down just enough to switch brake light on.

Ohmmeter should still read approx. 0 Ohms (the circuit is made).





- Now push brake pedal down further until TRACS pressure sensor trips (the circuit breaks).

Note: TRACS pressure sensor should trip (breaking the circuit) after the brake light switch trips.

Ohmmeter should now read infinite resistance.

If activation is OK:
- Intermittent fault, fault-tracing as per EH11. Intermittent Fault [EH11]

If TRACS pressure sensor trips before brake light switch:
- Check brake light switch adjustment as per LC. Brake light switch, replacement and adjustment. Service and Repair
