If the value is correct:
^ Checking the voltage supply to the fuel pump GB2.
GB2
Checking the voltage supply to the fuel pump
- Remove fuse no.11.
Check that fuse 11 is whole.
Connect a voltmeter between the lower connection on the fuse unit (11) and ground.
- Operate the starter motor.
The voltmeter should show battery voltage.
If the value differs:
The fault lies ahead of the fuse.
^ Connection of measurement box GB6.
If the value Is correct:
^ Checking the voltage supply to the fuel pump GB3.
GB3
Checking the chassis connection
- Ignition off.
- Remove the panels on the left side of the boot.
- Pull apart the connector halves for the fuel pump.
Connect an ohmmeter between 4 in the connector (wiring harness) and ground.
The ohmmeter should show approx. 0 ohms.
If the value is OK:
^ Checking the voltage supply at the fuel pump GB4.
If the value differs:
^ Check the fuel pump's chassis connection in the boot for signs of breakage.
GB4
Checking the voltage supply at the fuel pump
- Fuel pump disconnected.
Connect a voltmeter
between 1 and 2 on the connector with the wiring harness.
- Operate the starter motor.
The voltmeter should show battery voltage.
If the value is OK:
^ Checking the fuel pump's resistance GB5
If the value differs:
^ Check the wiring between fuse 11 and the connector for signs of breakage according to CD. CD. Checking of Wiring
GB5
Checking the fuel pump resistance
- Ignition off.
Connect an ohmmeter between 1 and 4 on the connector with the fuel pump.
The ohmmeter should show 1-2 r2
If the value Is OK:
^ Measurements show there is nothing wrong with the fuel distribution system.
If the value differs:
^ Check the connections and if they are OK, replace the fuel pump.
GB6
Connection of measurement box
Connect the measurement box and check the chassis connections according to N1-N2. N. Measurement Box, Signal Description
