C18 Checking Driver's Door Operating Switch

- Switch off ignition.
- Remove door panel on driver's door.
- Separate the halves of the 6-pin connector on central locking module.




- Lock driver's door.




- Connect an ohmmeter between pos. 1 and pos. 2 in the central locking module 6-pin connector's pin section.
Ohmmeter should indicate infinite resistance.




- Connect an ohmmeter between pos. 1 and pos. 3 in the central locking module 6-pin connector's pin section.
The ohmmeter should show approx 0 Ohms.




- Unlock driver's door.




- Connect an ohmmeter between pos. 1 and pos. 2 in the central locking module 6-pin connector's pin section.
The ohmmeter should show approx 0 Ohms.




- Connect an ohmmeter between pos. 1 and pos. 3 in the central locking module 6-pin connector's pin section.
Ohmmeter should indicate infinite resistance.

If all readings are OK:
- Continue to C19. C19 Checking Front Door Switch Ground Cable

If reading is incorrect:
Fault on central locking module operating switch or cable harness.
- Correct fault or install new central locking module complete. Replace central locking relay D/G.
