C21 Checking Signal Lead to Driver's Door Relay

Switch ignition off.
Remove central locking relay D/G and driver's door relay N.







Connect a voltmeter between position RD and position 31 on relay base N.
Voltmeter should read approx. 0 Volts.







Connect an ohmmeter between position RD and position 31 on relay base N.
Ohmmeter should read infinite resistance.

Connect an ohmmeter between position RD on relay base N and position RD on relay base D.
Ohmmeter should read approx. 0 Ohms.
If reading is correct: Go to step C22. C22 Checking Driver's Door Relay Works

If reading is incorrect:
Open-circuit or short-circuit in signal lead between position RD on relay base D/G and position RD on relay base N.
Correct fault or install new lead.
