Combined instrument panel or connection plate, replacement

General





Caution!
- First read all information in Diagnostics.
- Replace the combined instrument panel according to Replacing the combined instrument panel Replacing the Combined Instrument Panel or connection plate according to Replacing connection plate Replacing Connection Plate.
- Replace base plate.
- Program the connection plate according to Diagnostics.

Note! It is important to follow the instructions in Diagnostics. Read/program the combined instrument panel.

- Read and erase any diagnostic trouble codes.

When replacing components





Caution! Observe the following when working on the combined instrument panel: Cleanliness: the work site must be free of dust, dirt, oil, solvent, etc.
- Always wash your hands before disassembling the combined instrument panel. Do not use hand cream or lotion after washing. Use thin cotton protective gloves. Synthetic materials can cause static electricity.
- The wiring plate must not be subjected to static electricity.
- Do not touch connection plate or dial surfaces.
- Do not touch the instrument needles. They are factory calibrated. If the needles are moved the instrument may display the wrong reading.

Bulbs in the combined instrument panel




All warning lamps in the combined instrument panel should light up when the ignition is switched on. If they are blown, replace the bulbs.
Use the correct type of bulb. For location see below.
