Replacing "backrest switch"

Preparations




Make a note of radio code if anti-theft coded radio is installed.

Remove:
- battery negative lead
- seat from the car. See Replacing seat assembly Front Seat.
- backrest upholstery. See Replacing backrest upholstery Service and Repair.
- protective pad.

Removing





Note! Check positioning of the switch before removing.

Cut off cable ties.
Disconnect the switch from the folding mechanism.
Disconnect connector.
Replace switch.
Install in reverse order.

Replacing "rake switch"

Removing




Carry out preparations according to: Preparations
Fold the backrest forward.

Note! Check positioning of the switch before removing.

Cut off cable ties.
Detach switch from the seat.
Disconnect connector.
Replace switch.
Install in reverse order.
