Checking air and vacuum hoses, turbocharged engines
The following points should be carefully checked if leakage is suspected. Both the hoses and hose connections must be checked.




1. The upper charge-air pipe
2. The turbocharger (TC) control valve and the boost pressure control (BPC) valve
3. The brake servo
4. The crankcase ventilation
5. The mass air flow (MAF) sensor
6. The air intake hose
7. The turbocharger (TC) control valve
8. The throttle body (TB)
9. The lower charge-air pipe
10. The idle air control (IAC) valve
11. The EVAP charcoal filter
12. The canister purge (CP) valve
13. The vacuum connections on the intake manifold
14. The charge air cooler (CAC)
15. The intake manifold and the gasket
16. The crankcase ventilation and the oil trap
17. The fuel pressure regulator
18. The injectors and seals
19. The exhaust system.
The following points should be carefully checked if leakage is suspected. Both the hoses and hose connections must be checked.
- The pressure regulator for the idle air control (IAC) valve
- The charge air cooler (CAC)
- The turbocharger (TC) control valve
- The EVAP system
- The crankcase ventilation.
